Abstract

The focus of this study is to analyze the extent to which work discipline, the work environment, and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) influence the performance of operational and highway maintenance employees at PT Hutama Karya (Persero), Tanjung Priok Access Branch. This study employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive-correlational design. Data were collected from 98 respondents through the distribution of questionnaires using a saturation sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics via the scale range method as well as inferential analysis with multiple linear regression. The independent variables in this study include work discipline, work environment, and OSH, while the dependent variable is employee performance. The results of the descriptive analysis indicate that work discipline and the implementation of OSH fall into the very high category, while the work environment is in the very good category, and employee performance is also in the very high category. The results of the hypothesis testing indicate that work discipline, work environment, and OSH significantly influence employee performance. The work discipline variable is the most dominant factor influencing employee performance. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.824 indicates that 82.4% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by these three variables. These findings support organizational behavior theories that emphasize the importance of individual factors and the work environment in improving performance. Overall, improving work discipline, creating a conducive work environment, and optimizing the implementation of occupational safety and health (OSH) are key strategies for enhancing the performance of operational and highway maintenance employees.
