Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the work environment on employee well-being, with job satisfaction as an intervening variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of explanatory research. Data was collected through a questionnaire to 96 freelance daily employees of PT Nusantara Segar Abadi using a saturated sample technique. Data were analyzed using scale range and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The results showed that the work environment had a significant effect on employee well-being and job satisfaction. Furthermore, job satisfaction also influenced employee well-being. Other findings indicate that job satisfaction significantly mediates the relationship between the work environment and employee well-being. Therefore, it is crucial for companies to create a conducive, safe, and harmonious work environment to increase job satisfaction and thus achieve optimal and sustainable employee well-being.
