Abstract

In the era of modern education, educational games have become a key innovation for improving the quality of mathematics education, particularly those that integrate local culture. This study aims to describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of learning using an educational game based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) that integrates mathematics education with the local culture of Blitar at the high school level, specifically “MATH-LOC.” This study employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model. Data collection techniques included questionnaires and tests. Validation results by three academics and one practitioner indicated a validity rate of 86.40%, categorized as “Highly Valid.” Student response questionnaire results indicated a practicality rate of 85.32%, categorized as “Highly Practical.” In terms of effectiveness, the average learning outcome reached 90.82% with 100% mastery in the “Very Good” category. These results indicate that this educational game is valid, practical, and effective, and is capable of integrating conceptual understanding, learning motivation, and appreciation for local culture into mathematics learning.
