Abstract

The issue of environmental change is increasingly becoming a global threat, which is driven by the development of the world's fossil fuel by-products which continue to grow consistently. Climate change will have a number of negative impacts on human life around the world in various fields if this trend continues. As a result, every country must commit and make real efforts every year to reduce world carbon emissions. Various efforts have been carried out by Indonesia at the national and international levels because Indonesia is a country that has a serious goal of reducing world carbon emissions. The purpose of this research is to find out how Indonesia works globally and internally to reduce carbon emissions. To describe Indonesia's efforts, this study uses a qualitative descriptive approach and neoliberal institutional theory. By ratifying the Paris Agreement and being active in annual summits, Indonesia has contributed to overcoming global carbon emissions. The Indonesian government has also made regulations to save the earth so that it can decisively influence sustainable progress in Indonesia and achieve the goal of reducing carbon emissions in the world.
