GERAKAN SOSIAL DALAM PENEGAKAN HAK ASASI MANUSIA (STUDI PADA AKSI KAMISAN DI KOTA MALANG)

This study aims to analyze social movements in the enforcement of human rights through a study of Aksi Kamisan in Malang. Aksi Kamisan is a form of social movement carried out regularly by civil society as a response to various unresolved human rights vilation cases in Indonesia. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, with research subjects and informants, as well as documentation. The results show that emergence of Aksi Kamisan in Malang is influenced by several factors, including the commemoration of Munir’s death as a symbol of human rights violation, the persistence of unresolved human rights cases, and the influence of Aksi Kamisan at the national level. In addition, actor’s involvement in Aksi Kamisan is driven by concerns for humanitarian issues, collective awareness, organizational experience, and social networks. Furthermore, Aksi Kamisan in Malang plays several roles in the enforcement of human rights, namely as a space for action and strengthening solidarity, as a medium for shaping perceptions, and collective attitudes, as a guradian of collective memory while providing psychososial support, and as a form of assistance in legal advocacy for victimsof human rights violations. These roles indicate that Aksi Kamisan is not only a space for expression but also and organized collective action in pursuing justice. In conclusion, Aksi Kamisan Malang can be understood as a social movement that contributes to encouraging the resolution of humans rights violation cases, strengthening civil society solidarity, and maintaining collective awareness of humanitarian issues.
