Abstract

This study aims to describe problem condition related to the fulfillment of children's rights and describe the implementation of the Child Friendly Village Program in fulfilling children's rights in Sidomulyo Village, Batu District, Batu City. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that there are social issues related to the lack of fulfillment of children's rights in Sidomulyo Village. In terms of the right to life, there are still children who experience stunting and health problems. In terms of the right to growth and development, there are children who experience school dropouts, early marriage, and promiscuity. In terms of the right to protection, there are cases of child neglect. In terms of the right to participation, children still lack information and awareness to actively participate in organizations. In an effort to overcome these issues, through the Child Friendly Village Program in Sidomulyo, the Child Friendly Village Program implements activities aimed at fulfilling children's rights, including the right to life through the provision of birth certificates for every child, free healthcare facilities such as a village clinic, and posyandu activities. The fulfillment of the right to growth and development is realized through the provision of comprehensive educational infrastructure, educational assistance, socialization of child-rearing patterns, the availability of child-friendly playgrounds, and smoke-free areas. The fulfillment of the right to participation is realized through freedom of association, namely the existence of a children's forum. The fulfillment of the right to protection is realized through the Curhat House (RumCur), drug abuse awareness programs, and school safety zones.
