ANALISIS KINERJA KEUANGAN PADA PERUSAHAAN SEMEN YANG TERDAFTAR DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA PERIODE 2020-2024

This study aims to analyze the financial performance of cement companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2020-2024 period and identify factors causing a decline in Return on Equity (ROE). This study employed a quantitative descriptive approach. Secondary data were obtained from the annual financial reports of cement companies from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data analysis tool used was the DuPont System method. The analysis was conducted using a time series approach to observe performance developments from year to year and a cross-sectional approach to compare performance between companies. The results showed that the financial performance of the cement sector fluctuated during the 2020-2024 period. PT Semen Baturaja Tbk showed a consistent upward trend in ROE driven by increased profitability and asset efficiency. Conversely, PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk showed poor performance with fluctuating and tending towards negative ROE due to negative net income and high debt burden. The decline in ROE in several companies was influenced by Net Profit Margin due to rising production and energy costs, intense price competition, and weakening market demand.
