Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of Quran learning in the digital era at MTs 'Aisyiyah 1 Nganjuk and to identify the challenges faced by teachers in integrating digital technology into learning. The background of this research stems from technological developments and the digitalization of education, which demand new innovations in Quran learning methods. Digitalization provides new opportunities for madrasas to utilize media and learning tools, but at the same time also presents a number of obstacles in practice. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving Quran teachers, the principal, and students. Data analysis was conducted using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results of the study indicate that Quran learning at MTs 'Aisyiyah 1 Nganjuk has integrated several digital tools such as Smart TVs, online learning platforms, Google Forms, Canva, and video media to support the learning process. However, traditional methods such as talaqqi (recitation), memorization (memorization), tasmi' (recitation), and musyafahah (recitation of the Quran) remain the primary learning methods. Digitalization of learning offers several benefits, such as flexible learning access and increased student motivation. However, several challenges remain, including limited teacher competency in utilizing technology, internet network constraints, the readiness of learning devices, and a lack of Islamic digital literacy among students. This study concludes that Quran learning in the digital era is in a transitional phase where technology is used as a supporting tool, not as a replacement for traditional methods. Therefore, improving teacher competency, providing supporting infrastructure, and developing innovative learning strategies are crucial. This research is expected to contribute to the development of Quranic learning and serve as a reference for further research.
