Abstract

The increasingly competitive development of the workplace requires organizations to have human resources who are not only capable of performing formal tasks, but also willing to engage in voluntary work behaviors that contribute to organizational effectiveness, known as Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). The emergence of OCB in the workplace is influenced by various factors, one of which is organizational commitment. Generation Z is increasingly dominating the workforce and possesses characteristics that differ from previous generations, creating new challenges for human resource management practices. This study aims to examine the effect of organizational commitment on Organizational Citizenship Behavior among Generation Z employees. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The research subjects consisted of 110 Generation Z employees selected through accidental sampling. The instruments used were the Organizational Commitment Scale and the Organizational Citizenship Behavior Scale. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results indicate that organizational commitment has a significant positive effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior among Generation Z employees, explaining 75.6%.
