Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the influence of tourism on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in the districts of East Java, West Java, Central Java, Banten, DKI Jakarta, Yogyakarta, and the island of Bali during the period 2018–2023. Several tourism sectors are considered, including the average length of stay in starred hotels, the average length of stay in non-starred hotels, the number of hotels, and the number of tourists. The data analysis technique used in this study is panel data regression analysis with the Eviews 12 application. Partially, the variables of average length of stay in starred hotels and non-starred hotels do not have a significant effect on GRDP in Bali and the provinces on the island of Java. Meanwhile, the number of hotels and the number of tourists have a significant effect on GRDP in Bali and the districts on the island of Java. Simultaneously, all variables—average length of stay in starred hotels, average length of stay in non-starred hotels, number of hotels, and number of tourists—have an effect on GRDP in Bali and all provinces on the island of Java.
