Abstract
This study examines the effects of the non-physical work environment and workload on
employee turnover intention, with job stress serving as an intervening variable at PT.
Kampung Coklat Blitar. A quantitative explanatory research design was employed using a
simple random sampling technique. The population comprised 251 employees from the
cultivation division over the past year, from which 72 respondents were selected as the
sample. Data were collected through interviews and structured questionnaires and
subsequently analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The
findingsreveal that the non-physical work environment has a negative and significant effect
on job stress as well as employee turnover intention. In contrast, workload has a positive
and significant effect on job stress and turnover intention. Furthermore, job stress exerts a
positive and significant influence on turnover intention. Job stress does not mediate the
relationship between the non-physical work environment and turnover intention; however,
it significantly mediates the effect of workload on turnover intention
