Abstract
Father involvement plays an important role in the psychological development of early adolescents, particularly emotional intelligence. Fathers who are actively involved can serve as positive role models that support the emotional and social development of adolescents. Conversely, low father involvement increases the risk of emotional and behavioral problems, especially in early adolescence, which is an important stage in the formation of emotional abilities before entering late adolescence and adulthood. This study aims to determine the relationship between father involvement and emotional intelligence in early adolescents. This study uses a quantitative approach with Spearman's correlation analysis of 402 early adolescents. The instruments used were the father involvement scale and the emotional intelligence scale. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between father involvement and emotional intelligence (p < 0.05; r = 0.427). These findings indicate that the higher the level of father involvement in parenting, the higher the emotional intelligence in early adolescents, and vice versa
