Abstract
An undergraduate thesis is one of the requirements that undergraduate students must complete in order to obtain a bachelor’s degree. During the process of writing an undergraduate thesis, undergraduate students often encounter various obstacles that may affect the smooth progress of their work. If not properly managed, these challenges can lead to stress. Emotional intelligence and peer support are believed to play important roles in helping students cope with the difficulties experienced throughout the undergraduate thesis writing process. This study aims to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence and peer support on stress among undergraduate students writing their undergraduate thesis. The research employed a quantitative method with a correlational design. A total of 400 students were selected as participants using an accidental sampling technique. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that 73.9% of stress is influenced by emotional intelligence and peer support, while the remaining 26.1% is affected by other factors not examined in this study. The significance value obtained was 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that there is a highly significant effect of emotional intelligence and peer support on stress.
