Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the optimal portfolio using the Markowitz model in metal and mineral mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2024. The research method used is descriptive quantitative research. The population in this study is all shares of metal and mineral mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2024. The sample in this study consists of 12 stocks obtained through purposive sampling with data analysis techniques using the Markowitz model. The results of this study show that there are four company stocks that are members of the optimal portfolio, namely DKFT 17 percent, IFSH 42 percent, NICL 34 percent, and NIKL 6 percent, which provide an expected portfolio return of 2.3 percent with a portfolio risk level of 5.2 percent.
