Abstract

Shrimp exports constitute one of Indonesia’s leading commodities in international trade, particularly to the United States market. However, the sustainability of Indonesia’s shrimp exports has been challenged by the implementation of anti-dumping policies imposed by the United States to protect its domestic shrimp industry. These measures affect market access and the competitiveness of Indonesian shrimp products and may influence bilateral trade relations. This study aims to analyze the impact of the United States’ anti-dumping policies on the sustainability of Indonesia’s shrimp exports within the framework of foreign economic policy. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method using the Foreign Economic Policy framework and the concept of comparative advantage. The study utilizes primary data in the form of official anti-dumping regulations, trade policy documents, and international legal provisions issued by relevant authorities, supported by secondary academic literature. The findings indicate that anti-dumping measures function as protectionist instruments that affect Indonesia’s comparative advantage and export competitiveness, thereby requiring adjustments in foreign economic policy to safeguard export sustainability and national interests in international trade.
