Abstract
The study aims to provide empirical evidence of the effect of Environmental social governance (ESG) disclosure and profitability on market reactions. This study used a sample of energy and basic materials companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchage (IDX). The sample in this study amounted to 64 companies selected using purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is multiple liniear regression analysis with independent variables in the form of Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) disclosure and profitability and the dependent variable in the form of market reaction, which is analyzed using the SPSS application. The result showed that Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) disclosure has a positive effect on market reaction, while profitability has no effect on market reaction.
