Abstract
Work engagement is an important psychological aspect that supports organizational performance. The high rate of employees moving from one company to another makes work engagement an urgent issue to be examined. Resilience at work is considered a factor that influences work engagement. Organizational climate is assumed to strengthen the effect of resilience at work on employees’ work engagement. This study aims to examine the effect of resilience at work on work engagement and the role of organizational climate as a moderating variable. The research employed a quantitative correlational approach. The participants consisted of 369 employees obtained through accidental sampling. The instruments used were the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale-9 (UWES-9), the resilience at work scale, and the Litwin and Stringer Organizational Climate Questionnaire (LSOCQ), which were distributed via Google Forms. Data were analyzed using moderation analysis through PROCESS Macro Hayes Model 1. The results indicate that resilience at work has a positive and significant effect on work engagement. Organizational climate moderates the relationship between resilience at work and work engagement in a weakening (negative) direction, suggesting that the role of individual resilience becomes more prominent when organizational support is relatively low.
