Abstract

Employee performance is a crucial factor in the achievement of organizational objectives, as it represents the outcomes of employees’ work in accordance with their assigned roles and responsibilities. This study aims to examine the effect of job demands on employee performance. A quantitative research approach was employed, using an purposive sampling technique. The sample consisted of 189 respondents selected from a total population of 350 employees. Data were collected through the distribution of research scales to respondents with institutional approval. The instruments used in this study included the Questionnaire on the Experience and Evaluation of Work (QEEW), adapted by Mega (2019) with a reliability coefficient of 0.851, and an adapted performance scale developed by Agung (2022) based on the dimensions proposed by Mangkunegara (2017), which demonstrated a reliability coefficient of 0.875. Data analysis was carried out using simple linear regression. The findings revealed an F-test value of 405.075 with coefficient calue -0.638 indicating that job demands significantly negatif influence employee performance.
