Abstract
This study aims to examine the effect of transformational leadership on Organizational Citizenship Behavior, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable, among employees of the Department of Library and Archives of Blitar Regency. This research adopts a quantitative approach using a survey method. The research population consists of all 102 employees of the Department of Library and Archives of Blitar Regency, with total sampling applied as the sampling technique. Data were collected through online questionnaires and analyzed using SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction and Organizational Citizenship Behavior. Furthermore, job satisfaction also has a positive and significant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior. Mediation analysis reveals that job satisfaction significantly mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and Organizational Citizenship Behavior. These findings highlight the importance of effective transformational leadership in enhancing employee job satisfaction, which subsequently promotes voluntary work behaviors that support the effectiveness of public sector organizations.
