Abstract
Selopanggung Village, Kediri Regency, experiences seasonal water shortages, particularly during the dry season, highlighting the need for sustainable surface water management. This study aims to design the Sumber Kucur-Kucur small-reservoir as a small-scale water storage facility for raw water supply and water resources conservation. The planning process involved hydrological analysis, hydraulic analysis, and technical design of the small-reservoir structure. Hydrological analysis was performed by estimating the Probable Maximum Precipitation (PMP) from historical rainfall data, which was subsequently used to determine the Probable Maximum Flood (PMF) as the construction design flood. The estimated PMF discharge was 22,30 m³/s for a watershed area of 0,26 km². The small-reservoir was designed with a storage capacity of 57.663,20 m³. The results of the water balance calculations indicate that the volume of 57,663.20 m³ can meet the need of Raw water demand during the dry season. The dam structure was planned as a homogeneous earthfill dam with a planned height of 15,50 m and a crest width of 6,00 m, while the upstream and downstream slopes were determined based on local soil conditions. A fixed spillway used Concrete drop Open Ogee type (overflow spillway) with a width of 8,00 m, was designed to safely convey the PMF discharge without overtopping the dam body. The results demonstrate that the Sumber Kucur-Kucur small-reservoir satisfies technical, stability, and dam safety requirements and is technically feasible to enhance water availability and support sustainable water resources management in Selopanggung Village.
