Abstract
Biology learning on the human excretory system faces challenges due to the abstract nature of the material and the limited use of interactive digital teaching materials, which results in low students’ conceptual understanding. This study aimed to develop an e-module based on the OIDDE learning model (Orientation, Identify, Discussion, Decision, and Engage in Behavior) on the human excretory system for Grade VIII students at MTsN Kota Batu that is valid and practical. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research subjects included material experts, language experts, media experts, a biology teacher, and Grade VIII students at MTsN Kota Batu. Data were collected through observation, interviews, validation sheets, and practicality questionnaires, and analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques. The results indicated that the developed OIDDE-based e-module was categorized as very valid based on expert assessments. Furthermore, the practicality test results from teachers and students showed that the e-module was very practical and easy to use in learning activities. The e-module supports students’ understanding of the human excretory system through material visualization and systematic learning stages. Therefore, the OIDDE-based e-module is feasible as a supporting teaching material for Biology learning and contributes to strengthening technology-based learning in 21st-century education.
