Abstract
Samara Resort Hotel in Batu City currently uses a reinforced concrete structure, which has limitations in resisting tensile forces and requires a longer construction time. This study proposes an alternative design by utilizing a composite steel structure that offers advantages in tensile strength, lighter weight, and greater efficiency in resisting loads.
The redesign of Samara Resort Batu City employs a composite steel structure using the Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) method. The design refers to SNI 1727:2020 concerning Minimum Loads for the Design of Buildings and Other Structures, SNI 1729:2020 concerning Specification for Structural Steel Buildings, SNI 1726:2019 concerning Seismic Design Procedures for Buildings and Non-Building Structures, SNI 7972:2020 concerning Prequalified Connections for Special and Intermediate Steel Moment Frames for Seismic Applications, SNI 7860:2020 concerning Seismic Provisions for Structural Steel Buildings, and ANSI/AISC 360-2016: Specification for Structural Steel Buildings.
Based on the results of the structural analysis and design calculations, it can be concluded that the building utilizes a composite floor slab with a thickness of 120 mm, a base metal thickness of 0.70 mm, and W-1000 type floordeck manufactured by PT. Union Metal. The steel profiles used for beams, columns, and bracing are as follows: secondary beams in the Z direction use WF 250×125×6×9 sections; primary beams in the Z direction use WF 600×300×12×25 sections; primary beams in the X direction use WF 600×300×12×25 sections; columns use WF 600×600×15×30 sections; and bracing members use WF 200×200×8×12 sections
