Abstract

This study aims to analyse the impact of human capital quality on poverty dynamics across selected member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) specifically Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Iran, and Indonesia, during the period 2014-2023. Human capital quality is measured using three main indicators: Education Index, Life Expectancy, and Gross National Income (GNI) per capita. The research employs a quantitative explanatory approach and panel data regression analysis using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The findings reveal that all three human capital indicators significantly influence poverty levels. Countries with higher human capital quality tend to experience lower poverty rates. The study provides essential recommendations for OIC countries to enhance human development policies by improving access to education and healthcare as a key strategy in poverty alleviation.
