KAJIAN KOLABORASI PENGELOLAAN KONSERVASI PENYU DI PANTAI BALUJMATI MALANG

The purpose of this research is to analyze the BSTC collaboration in managing sea turtle conservation at Bajulmati Beach. The informants of this research are BSTC members, parties involved in the management, namely Perhutani, BKSDA, Pertamina, the Navy, the Water Police, CDK, KTH, LMDH, Pokmaswas, Village Government, and the Community. The collected data were analyzed using a SWOT analysis, which is to determine the strengths (Strengths), weaknesses (Weaknesses), opportunities (Opportunities) and threats (Threats) in sea turtle conservation management. The results show that Bajulmati is in quadrant 1 or an aggressive strategy. Quadrant 1 shows that the internal strengths and opportunities from the collaborative management of sea turtle conservation are quite large and can be developed. The management strengths are in cross-sector commitment, legal legality of conservation management and institutions owned by BSTC (Bajulmati Sea Turtle Conservation), support provided by CSR, and increasing public and tourist awareness of sea turtles and the environment. Weaknesses in turtle conservation management include the lack of involvement of coastal communities in conservation management, funds to support management still depend on external funding, and the lack of ongoing monitoring and coordination in collaborative management of turtle conservation.
