Abstract
Individuals who have dual roles as students and employees experience complex challenges that can affect their subjective well-being, especially if they have difficulty maintaining a balance between study, work, and personal life. This study aims to examine the effect of work-life balance on subjective well-being in working students. The design of this study was a quantitative correlational study. The subjects of this study were 456 students who were studying while working, selected using an accidental sampling technique. The research instruments included the Work-Life Balance Scale (WLBS), the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), and the Scale of Positive and Negative Experience (SPANE). Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression analysis using SPSS for Windows software. The results showed a significant effect of work-life balance on subjective well-being in working students (F = 106.626, p = 0.001). Work-life balance affected subjective well-being by 19%. This study emphasizes the importance of time management strategies, energy management, and social support to improve the psychological well-being of students who have dual roles as students and employees.
