Abstract
This study aimed to determine the effect of premix supplementation on the protein and Solid Non-Fat (SNF) content of Peranakan Friesian Holstein (PFH) dairy cow milk at UD Saputra Jaya. The research used 18 PFH cows, ranging from first to third lactation, divided into three treatments: P1 (Unggul Premix), P2 (Ultra
Premix), and P3 (Non-Premix), each consisting of six cows as replications. The cows were fed concentrate mixed with premix according to the treatment and fresh forage as the basal feed. Milk quality data, including protein and SNF content, were obtained weekly for four weeks using a Lactoscan Ultrasonic Milk Analyzer.
Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) based on a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The results indicated that neither the Unggul nor the Ultra premix had a significant effect (p>0.05) on milk protein or SNF content. The monthly average protein ranged from 3.45–3.59%, while SNF ranged from 9.29–
9.34%. In conclusion, premix supplementation did not significantly improve milk quality in terms of protein or SNF during the study period.
