Abstract
Child molestation is a form of sexual violence with multidimensional impacts, particularly on the emotional aspect. One of the main impacts is low self- disclosure, namely the child's ability to express their personal thoughts and feelings, which causes a slow healing process. This study aims to test the effectiveness of emotional peer support in improving self-disclosure among fellow victims of child molestation in Mojokerto Regency. This mentoring is designed as emotional support from peers through three mentoring sessions: the Listening Room, the Soft Room, and the Recovery Room. This study used a true- experimental design with 10 subjects divided into 5 people in the experimental group and 5 people in the control group. Subject selection was carried out using a purposive sampling technique based on predetermined criteria. The self-disclosure variable was measured using the Revised Self-Disclosure Scale (RSDS) which was analyzed using the non-parametric Mann-Whitney analysis technique using SPSS 25.0. The results showed a significant difference between the gain scores of the experimental group and the control group after mentoring. The mentoring activity was also effective in improving self-disclosure in the experimental group.
