EFEKTIVITAS INJEKSI FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone) PADA HARI KE 4 DAN KE 9 TERHADAP RESPON SUPEROVULASI DAN PRODUKSI EMBRIO IN VIVO PADA SAPI DONOR LIMOUSIN

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of different timing of Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) injection on day 4 and day 9 of the estrous cycle on superovulation response and in vivo embryo production in Limousin donor cows. The research was conducted at the Cipelang Livestock Embryo Center (BET) using secondary data on in vivo embryo production of Limousin donor cows from 2024 to 2025. The observed parameters included the number of Corpus Luteum (CL), response rate, recovery rate, and the number of embryos collected. Data were analyzed using a descriptive quantitative method by presenting mean values and percentages for each observed parameter. The results showed that FSH injection on day 9 produced a higher average number of CL, recovery rate, and number of collected embryos compared to FSH injection on day 4. Meanwhile, the response rate for both treatments was the same, reaching 50%. These findings indicate a tendency that the timing of FSH administration influences ovarian response efficiency and in vivo embryo production. It can be concluded that FSH injection on day 9 tends to provide more optimal results than day 4 in improving superovulation response and embryo production in Limousin donor cows
