PENERIMAAN SISWA NONMUSLIM TERHADAP NILAI-NILAI KEISLAMAN DALAM KEGIATAN HIZBUL WATHAN DI SMKS MUHAMMADIYAH 2 GENTENG

This study aims to reveal how non-Muslim students accept Islamic values instilled through Hizbul Wathan activities at SMKS Muhammadiyah 2 Genteng. The focus of the research is directed toward forms of acceptance, the process of self-adjustment, and the resulting impacts on the attitudes and behaviors of non-Muslim students within the context of religious diversity in a Muhammadiyah school environment. This study employs a qualitative approach using a phenomenological method. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The informants in this study consist of three non-Muslim students who actively participate in Hizbul Wathan activities, the Hizbul Wathan instructor, and the school principal. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of Bracketing, Intuiting, Analyzing, and Describing.
The findings indicate that universal Islamic values—such as discipline, responsibility, solidarity, and leadership—are positively accepted by non-Muslim students and are not only accepted but also internalized. Warm and harmonious interactions within the Hizbul Wathan environment demonstrate that education based on moderate and inclusive Islamic values can strengthen relationships between non-Muslim students and their Muslim peers. This results in positive implications for the social attitudes of non-Muslim students and fosters self-confidence in expressing positive behaviors within a heterogeneous environment.
