PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN EXHAUST FAN TERHADAP KONSUMSI PAKAN DAN PERTAMBAHAN BOBOT BADAN DOMBA PENGGEMUKAN DI PT. SEDANA PETERNAK SENTOSA

This study aims to determine the effect of using an exhaust fan on feed intake and body weight gain of fattening sheep at PT. Sedana Peternak Sentosa, Jombang, East Java. The research was conducted from August to November 2025 using a field experiment method. The materials used included 40 sheep aged 1–3 years, divided into two treatments: pens equipped with exhaust fans (P1) and pens without exhaust fans (P2), each containing 20 sheep. The observed variables were feed intake (kg/head/day) and average daily gain (ADG), while the controlled variables included temperature, humidity, and wind speed. Data were analyzed using an independent t-test to compare the means between treatments. The results are expected to provide scientific information regarding the effectiveness of exhaust fan usage in improving feed efficiency and sheep growth performance, as well as serve as a practical reference for implementing ventilation technology in fattening systems under tropical conditions.
