Abstract

This research is motivated by concerns about the basic education model that tends to be monotonous and has not been able to develop students' full potential. Muhammadiyah 19 Rogojampi Elementary School Creative School is present as an alternative learning that integrates spiritual, emotional, and creative values in the educational process. The purpose of this study is to examine how the application of edutainment is applied in Al-Islam learning and its impact on students' learning experiences. This study uses qualitative application with data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews with the principal and ISMUBA teachers, and documentation of learning activities. The results of the study show that learning that combines education and entertainment effectively through various techniques such as games, role-playing, demonstrations, and others, thus making the learning process in the classroom more fun and interesting. The implementation of edutainment at this school involves a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. Indoor activities include Quotes Craft, Guest Teacher, Hijaiyah Symphony, Islamic Memory Challenge, and Hadith Puzzle. While outdoor activities include Haji Kids, Market Halal Food Challenge, Qur'an Scavenger Hunt, Mabit, and annual activities such as Outbound. All activities are designed to connect Islamic material to students' real-world experiences and strengthen Islamic character in a fun way. Based on interviews and observations, the implementation of edutainment has brought significant changes to Islamic teaching at this school. Students appear more active, enthusiastic, and easily understand Islamic values. This implementation also helps teachers deliver material creatively and engage students' affective and psychomotor development.
