PENANAMAN NILAI-NILAI RELIGIUS DALAM PROGRAM PENDAMPINGAN AKADEMIK DI MADRASAH ALIYAH AL IRTIQO’ MALANG

The academic mentoring program at Madrasah Aliyah Al Irtiqo' Malang is a flagship program with two objectives, focusing on improving learning outcomes and developing students' religious character. This study aims to examine in depth the process of integrating religious values into the academic mentoring program and to identify the factors that support and hinder its implementation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research to understand the meaning of instilling religious values in the academic mentoring program. The researcher chose Madrasah Aliyah Al Irtiqo' Malang because it is the only madrasah that implements an academic mentoring program that is not implemented in other educational institutions. Informants in this study included students under guidance, mentoring teachers, and madrasah officials. Data were obtained from interviews, observations, and documentation and tested for validity using triangulation. Data analysis referred to the model developed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The results showed that First, the academic assistance program at Madrasah Aliyah Al Irtiqo' Malang is a strategic medium that changes the paradigm of character education in madrasahs. The instilling of religious values is carried out through: a) the integration of religious values through habituation methods; b) the insertion of religious values in learning materials; c) the exemplary behavior of accompanying teachers (uswatun hasanah); Second, the success of instilling religious values is influenced by: 1) supporting factors: collaboration and support from the madrasah through policies and leadership motivation; 2) inhibiting factors: time constraints, teachers' busy schedules outside of school, school administrative burdens, and poor communication with parents.
