Abstract

Friendly Education is an approach that can be used to internalize Islamic Values. This approach accommodates the fulfillment of children's rights in a comprehensive manner. Open, constructive, and humanistic interaction patterns are important points of this approach. This is in line with the characteristics of today's children, who are active, critical, open, and sensitive. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type, and the selected research object is SMP IIBS Al-Maahira Putra Malang. The purpose of this paper is descriptive and analytical regarding the concept of instilling, implementing, and the results of instilling Islamic values using the Friendly Education approach. Data was collected through interviews, direct observation, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used were data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study contain a description of the implementation of Islamic Values, which include discipline, responsibility, and patience in all circumstances. The Friendly Education concept chosen for implementation is firm but not cruel, with no physical punishment, commitment, and openness from all parties. The results obtained from this internalization make students more honest, trustworthy, tolerant, and have good character.
