Abstract
This study aimed to develop a Google Sites-based career guidance E-Module and to examine its validity and effectiveness in improving career learning outcomes as indicators of career awareness among junior high school students. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D model, consisting of the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages, with research subjects including content experts, media experts, and ninth-grade junior high school students involved in a limited trial. Data were collected through expert validation questionnaires, implementation observations, pretest–posttest measures, and interviews, and were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The results indicated that the developed E-Module was valid and feasible for use, with content expert validation achieving 87.50% (highly feasible) and media expert validation reaching 77.94% (feasible), while the practicality of implementation was categorized as very practical with a score of 91.67%. The effectiveness test demonstrated an improvement in students’ career learning outcomes, as shown by an increase in the mean pretest score from 20.10 to 28.60 in the posttest, resulting in an average gain of 8.50 points, leading to the conclusion that the Google Sites-based career guidance E-Module is valid, practical, and effective as a supporting medium for career guidance services in junior high schools.
