Abstract

This study is motivated by the urgency of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) in shaping students’ religious character, including inclusive students who possess diverse characteristics and learning needs. One approach considered effective in instilling religious values is the implementation of structured religious habituation programs within the school environment. This study aims to analyze the forms of religious habituation practices and their impact on inclusive students at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Malang City. The research employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. The informants involved in this study include the school principal, special education teachers (Guru Pendamping Khusus), and inclusive students. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through continuous stages of data collection, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that there are five forms of religious habituation activities implemented regularly, namely Dhuha prayer, obligatory prayer (Dhuhr), Tahsinul Qur’an, Tahfidzul Qur’an, and Friday infaq. The implementation of these programs contributes positively to the development of inclusive students, as reflected in increased religiosity, improved ability to read and memorize short surahs of the Qur’an, and the development of social care attitudes and awareness of charitable practices in daily school life.
