Abstract
Technological advancements in the digital era have simplified various aspects of life, including work; however, they have also given rise to deviant behaviors such as cyberloafing, which refers to the use of company internet facilities for personal purposes. One of the factors suspected to trigger this behavior is work stress. This study aims to examine the effect of work stress on cyberloafing behavior among employees of PT X, a logistics aggregator company based in Malang. The research employed a quantitative correlational method involving 147 respondents selected through accidental sampling. The instruments used were the Job Stress Scale and the Cyberloafing Scale, both of which demonstrated validity and reliability. The results of the regression analysis indicated that work stress had a positive and significant effect on cyberloafing behavior, with an effective contribution of 36.2%, meaning that work stress explains 36.2% of the variance in cyberloafing behavior, while the remaining variance is influenced by other factors outside this study. These findings highlight the importance of managing work stress to reduce deviant behaviors and enhance employee productivity.
