Abstract

The results of observations and interviews conducted by researchers found that the learning process has not fully utilized learning media, especially project-based methods with learning module guidance. In addition, traditional teaching methods are still dominant which often make students less actively involved in the learning process. In order to support the availability of learning resources that suit the needs of students, a science learning module based on Project-based learning was developed. This study aims to develop a science learning module based on Project-based learning. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) research type with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Validation was carried out by media experts, material experts, practitioner experts and student response questionnaires. The results of the validation test for validity from media experts were (80%) with the category "very valid", material experts were (80%) with the category "valid". The results of the practicality test of teacher responses showed that the science learning module based on Project-based learning obtained a score of (91%) with the category "very practical", and student responses obtained a score of (92%) with the category "very practical". And for student learning interest there is an increase with a moderate average, and learning outcomes there is an increase from the pretest of (38.96) and after treatment using the Project based learning science learning module with a posttest value of (88.48). Based on the results of the validation analysis, practicality and effectiveness, it was concluded that the Project based learning science learning module for the ecosystem material for class VII SMP is declared valid and very practical so that the module is suitable for use in the science learning process on the ecosystem material for class VII SMP.
