Abstract
This study aims to analyze the implementation of Vocard Check as a learning medium in developing students’ English speaking skills at SD Anak Saleh Malang and its role in supporting sustainable pronunciation accuracy. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. The research participants included teachers and students, while data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation.
The findings indicate that the implementation of Vocard Check was conducted in a planned and systematic manner through strengthening teacher competence, continuous mentoring, and the use of the Just Speak Book as a supporting pocket book. Vocard Check was utilized in speaking activities such as class openings, instructional commands, and simple conversational practices integrated into daily school activities. Observation results show that students were able to respond orally to teachers’ questions using simple sentences and relevant vocabulary, as well as demonstrate efforts to imitate correct English pronunciation. Although pauses, hesitation, and pronunciation inaccuracies were still evident, students showed confidence in speaking and were able to maintain interaction. Vocard Check functions as a visual and verbal guide that helps students gradually and continuously develop fluency, comprehension, and pronunciation accuracy.
