Abstract

This study aims to describe the character education strengthening model based on spiritual values at Muhammadiyah Sape Senior High School, Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study approach, involving data collection through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis. The results of this study indicate that the character education strengthening model based on spiritual values, particularly from Islamic teachings, plays a crucial role in shaping students' personalities, deepening their understanding of ethics, and contributing to the growth of positive attitudes and behaviors. Religious activities such as congregational prayer and religious study facilitate students in applying moral values in their daily lives. Supporting factors for the successful implementation of the character education strengthening model based on spiritual values at Muhammadiyah Sape Senior High School, Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, also highlight the importance of teachers as role models and the urgency of learning methods that include discussion and reflection. The involvement of school leaders and a conducive social environment are also important. For further research, this study recommends conducting broader explorations. Instilling spiritual values in education should not solely focus on academic achievement, but also on developing strong moral and ethical character, in order to shape individuals with integrity. The implementation of spiritual values at Muhammadiyah Sape High School is expected to serve as a reference for other educational institutions in their efforts to shape student character.
