PEMBENTUKAN BUDAYA RELIGIUS DALAM MENINGKATKAN KECERDASAN SPIRITUAL PESERTA DIDIK (Studi Kasus SMP Negeri 1 Sumberasih Kabupaten Probolinggo)

This study aims to describe how the formation of religious culture in the school environment can enhance students' spiritual intelligence, using a case study at SMP Negeri 1 Sumberasih in Probolinggo Regency. This study employs a qualitative approach using the case study method, involving observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results of the study indicate that religious culture in schools is manifested through activities such as congregational prayer, Quran recitation, voluntary fasting, greetings and salutations, as well as collective supplication and prayer. This culture effectively shapes religious attitudes, strengthens spiritual awareness, and improves the quality of students' relationships with God, fellow human beings, and the environment. Factors supporting the success of religious culture formation include teacher role modeling, school leadership support, parental involvement, and a conducive social environment. For future research, this study suggests conducting a broader exploration of the relationship between religious culture and other aspects of student development, such as emotional intelligence, social character, or leadership values. The use of quantitative approaches or cross-institutional studies could also serve as alternatives to enrich perspectives and expand the scope of similar research in the future.
