Abstract
This study aims to describe the strategies implemented by the principal in fostering a religious culture at Muhammadiyah 3 ICP (International Class Program) Elementary School, Sumberrejo, Bojonegoro. The approach employed in this study was a qualitative case study. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, which were then analyzed using the interactive model by Miles and Huberman. To ensure data validity, data triangulation techniques were used.
The research findings indicate that the principal of Muhammadiyah 3 ICP (International Class Program) Elementary School, Sumberrejo, Bojonegoro, implements a transformational leadership style in an effort to instill religious values in the entire school community. The principal's role is evident through his ability to inspire, motivate, and serve as a role model in implementing religious activities. In his efforts to foster a religious culture, the principal adopted three main approaches: a power strategy, a persuasive strategy, and a normative re-educative strategy.
Based on the research findings, it is recommended that the principal continue to strengthen the implementation of transformational leadership by optimizing role models, motivation, and inspiration in religious activities. The power, persuasive, and normative re-education strategies that have been implemented need to be maintained and strengthened through consistent practice, effective communication, and enforcement of rules that support religious culture. Furthermore, collaboration with teachers, parents, and the school community is also crucial for the formation of a more comprehensive and sustainable religious culture.
