Abstract
This research is motivated by the presence of Muslim students at the school, even though it is a non-Muslim educational institution, it still provides Islamic Religious Education teachers to meet the spiritual needs of Muslim students. This is the reason for the researcher to conduct direct research related to the Islamic Religious Education learning process at the school. The objectives of this research are: (1) to describe the Islamic Religious Education learning process for Muslim students at SMAK Frateran St. Gabriel Nunukan; (2) to identify supporting and inhibiting factors in the Islamic Religious Education learning process for Muslim students at SMAK Frateran St. Gabriel Nunukan. This type of research uses field research, namely where the researcher conducts direct observations at the research location, using a descriptive qualitative approach. The data sources used come from primary and secondary sources. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects studied consisted of Islamic Religious Education teachers and Muslim students in grades XI and XII. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. From this research, it can be concluded that: (1) the Islamic Religious Education learning process for Muslim students at SMAK Frateran St. Gabriel Nunukan, includes the planning, implementation and evaluation stages of learning; (2) The inhibiting factors in Islamic Religious Education learning for Muslim students at SMAK Frateran St. Gabriel Nunukan are the low skills of students in reading and writing the Qur'an and limited monitoring of student behavior outside school hours. Meanwhile, supporting factors include the availability of special rooms for Islamic Religious Education learning, competent Islamic Religious Education teachers, support from non-Muslim students, teachers, parents and foundations.
