Abstract
This study aims to describe the process of internalizing Islamic values in early childhood at Insan Rabbani Preschool (PAUD) in Soki Village, Belo District, Bima Regency. The background of the study is based on the urgency of early Islamic character education as the foundation for developing children's personalities. The research approach used was qualitative with descriptive methods. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included teachers, students, and the learning environment. The research findings indicate that the instillation of Islamic values is carried out through various strategies. The main strategy is the habituation of worship, such as daily prayer, ablution practice, Dhuha prayer, and reading short surahs. Moral values such as honesty, responsibility, politeness, and mutual respect are integrated into play activities. Teachers use the exemplary method as a central approach. Teachers act as role models who demonstrate Islamic behavior in daily interactions. A religious school environment is a supporting factor. Parental support also strengthens the process of internalizing values. A curriculum that incorporates Islamic values in a structured manner also contributes to the program's success. Several obstacles were encountered during the implementation process. These obstacles included differences in family backgrounds. Limited time for familiarization at school also posed a barrier. The consistency of children's behavior, as they were still developing, also affected the effectiveness of value instillation. Overall, the process of internalizing Islamic values proceeded well through familiarization, role modeling, and integration of values into play activities
