Abstract

ABSTRACT
This study aims to describe the inclusive learning model applied to Islamic Religious Education (IRE) at Muhammadiyah 2 Junior High School of Ponorogo. the school's efforts to improve the quality of inclusive learning, and the impact of its implementation on the learning process of students with special needs (ABK). This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting data through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research informants included school principals, PAI teachers, Special Assistant Teachers (GPK), shadow teachers, and ABK students. Data were analyzed interactively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion, while the validity of the data was tested through triangulation of sources and methods. The results of the study show that the inclusive learning model applied is a combination of regular student learning (complete inclusion) and small groupings (clusters) according to the characteristics of the needs of ABK students, with the support of curriculum adaptation, the use of visual and multisensory learning media, and intensive assistance from GPK and shadow teachers. The school's efforts to improve the quality of inclusive learning include providing teacher training, developing support facilities, and fostering collaboration among teachers, support staff, and parents. The implementation of this inclusive learning model has a positive impact on academic participation, social skills, and spiritual development among ABK students. However, there remain obstacles related to limited support staff, inadequate learning facilities, and communication between schools and parents that require improvement. Overall, the inclusive learning model in IRE subjects at Muhammadiyah 2 Junior High School of Ponorogo. can support the development of ABK students, provided that it is supported by school management, educators, and adequate learning facilities.
