Abstract

This research was based on the problem of low numeracy skills among sixth-grade students at SDN Tanjungrejo 4, particularly in the material of solid geometry (bangun ruang). The conventional learning process, which relied heavily on PowerPoint presentations, was found to be monotonous and failed to connect mathematical concepts to real-world contexts . This study aimed to develop, validate, and test the effectiveness of a web-based learning media designed to improve these numeracy skills .
This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. The development process began with analyzing student needs (Analysis) , followed by creating storyboards and instruments (Design) , and building the product on the Canva platform (Development) . The product was then validated by one material expert and one media expert. Subsequently, the media was implemented with 22 sixth-grade students using a one-group pre-test/post-test design to evaluate its effectiveness .
The results showed that the web-based learning media was declared "Very Valid" by the experts, receiving an average score of 91% from the material expert and 88% from the media expert. The media also proved to be "Very Effective" in improving student numeracy skills. This was demonstrated by a significant increase in the classical mastery percentage, which rose from 36% in the pre-test (before using the media) to 86% in the post-test (after using the media) .
It is concluded that the developed web-based learning media is valid, practical, and highly effective for improving the numeracy skills of elementary school students.
