PENGARUH KEPUASAN KERJA TERHADAP WORK-LIFE BALANCE PADA KARYAWAN GENERASI Z DI CREATIVE INDUSTRY

Every industry expects every employee to have a high level of job satisfaction. Generation Z has unique characteristics that tend to prioritize work flexibility and importance of work-life balance. From the development of technology which resulted in changes of shifting generation Z expectations. This study aims to determine the effect of job satisfaction on work-life balance among generation Z employees working in the creative industry in several provinces in Indonesia. This research uses a quantitative method with purposive sampling technique collected from 214 respondents range in age from 18-28 years. The scale used is the Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS) developed by Spector (1994) and work-life balance scale developed by Fisher, Bulger, and Smith (2009). The results show that there was an effect of job satisfaction on work-life balance (p < 0,05). Based on the research results show that work-life balance has a positive and significant influence of 30,5% on job satisfaction. Generation Z, who are able to manage their time well between work and personal life, tend to be more satisfied with their jobs, which impacts productivity, motivation, and well-being of employees. This research emphasizes the importance of implementing industry policies that support work-life balance to enhance employee job satisfaction particularly for general Z.
