Abstract

Employees in various sectors require a balance between personal and professional life. Misalignment between personal values and the work environment can affect their level of organizational commitment. When employees feel spiritually disconnected or do not find meaning in their work, this has the potential to reduce commitment to the organization. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of workplace spirituality on organizational commitment using a quantitative approach and the Pearson correlation method. This study involved 125 permanent employees selected through a snowball sampling technique. The workplace spirituality instrument was based on Ashmos & Duchon and the organizational commitment scale used the Meyer scale. The results showed a significant positive relationship between workplace spirituality and organizational commitment in employees with a value of 0.481 (R) and a value of <0.001 <0.05. These findings indicate that spiritual aspects can be an important factor in organizational commitment. Therefore, companies should implement programs to improve spiritual aspects in the workplace. This can be achieved by providing reflection spaces, meditation sessions, and mentoring to find the meaning of work. Encouraging empathy and integrating ethical values into the company's vision will also help employees feel more connected, thereby building ongoing organizational commitment
