Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has driven innovations in waste
management, one of which is the Barong Solo application that connects scrap
sellers directly with collectors. This study aims to ensure that the Barong Solo
application functions as intended, using the Black Box Testing method combined
with the Test Use Case approach. The testing focused on core features such as
registration, login, transaction creation, item pickup, payment receipt, and profile
editing. Each scenario was tested based on user input without examining the internal
code of the application. The results showed that most functionalities performed as
expected, although some weaknesses were identified in input validation and
notification displays. This research provides improvement recommendations to
enhance the application’s quality before a full-scale launch.
