Abstract

Problem: This research focuses on developing a plant care application with a plant scanning feature and care notifications using the UX Journey method. This application aims to make it easier for users to care for their plants by providing easy access and relevant reminders. Methods: Using the UX Journey approach, this research included competitor analysis, user interviews, and usability testing to understand user needs and preferences. A/B testing and other tests were conducted to develop a more effective application design. Results: The research indicated that users desired an application with an accurate plant scanning feature and notifications that facilitated plant care reminders. Through competitor analysis, shortcomings in existing applications were identified, which served as the basis for developing new, more user-friendly features. A/B testing revealed that applications with a simpler design and responsive features provided a better user experience. These results indicate that ease of use and appropriate reminders are crucial for increasing user engagement in plant care. Conclusions and Development: Applications developed using the UX Journey method have been shown to increase user experience in plant care. Further development is needed to improve the accuracy of the plant scanning feature and personalize notifications to better suit the user's plant conditions and environment.
