Abstract
Technical Planning for the VIP Inpatient Ward, Central Surgical Installation, and
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Building at Aminah General Hospital (RSU Aminah), Blitar City, East
Java, located at Jl. Veteran No.39, Kepanjen Kidul, Kepanjenkidul District, Blitar City, East
Java. The planning for this hospital building uses reinforced concrete as the main structure and
a steel roof structure. The building has 4 floors designated for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), VIP
Inpatient Ward, and Operating Rooms. As a hospital building, its seismic design category falls
under Risk Category IV. Therefore, the building is designed using the Special Moment Resisting
Frame (SMF) method. The loads considered in this design are dead loads, live loads, wind loads,
and seismic loads in accordance with SNI 1727-2020. Seismic loads are calculated using the
Equivalent Static Method as per SNI 1726-2019. To facilitate calculations, the building was
modeled using SAP 2000. The steel roof design refers to SNI 1729-2020, while the reinforced
concrete calculations refer to SNI 2847-2019.
The primary objective of this planning is to enhance the hospital's capacity and service
quality by adding VIP inpatient, operating room, and ICU facilities, while ensuring the resulting
design meets technical standards and is efficient, safe, and economical. By considering existing
conditions, soil data, and applicable regulations, this report is expected to serve as a reliable
guideline for the construction of a fully functional building that contributes to improving
healthcare services in Blitar and the surrounding region.
